Even the most organised people can become distracted at times. The principle of planning is to ensure that we have a set of guidelines to live our goals through, even when things get tough. The chances we have of succeeding in a goal become enhanced when they are put into action with a game plan.
The mind is highly impressive at remembering things, but it still makes mistakes. A plan sets your future in stone and gives you that point of reference we all need.
Getting started on a goal can be really hard sometimes. Many people forget the importance of preparation: from just spending a little time planning, you can speed up your chances of achieving your goal. There is no great mystery to being a good organiser, with a few simple principles you can start being one today.
You may already have some very interesting and well thought out goal, but have you considered the best possible way to enact them? To bring a life goal into reality, you need to measure the chances of success against a range of different factors.
To begin with make sure you goal is specific. The goal must be carefully stated and be as clear as possible. So, if your goal is to make more money, specify how much extra wealth you want to accumulate. When you formulate your goals, make sure you have considered the different priorities associated with it.
Rank each one of these priorities in order of importance, and designate the time you are going to give to each one. An additional benefit is that you will make your goal more tangible, more designed, and more achievable.
It is important that you factor into your planning the ways you are going to measure your goal. If you are planning on losing weight this is quite simple – you can measure how much you weigh- however some goals are less tangible than that: they may involve improving a condition or state of mind. Remember that your mind needs clear, precise instructions in order to get the most out if it.
Your planning should think up ways to make achieving your goal as attractive and as compelling as possible. The undesirable consequences of not achieving it should also be woven into the fabric of your plan.
Your goal needs to be something you are passionate enough about to devote large portions of your time too over a long period. Your goal must therefore work in harmony with your natural instincts and intuition.
Make sure that you are not choosing your goal because you think it is something you should do; your goal should strike a chord in your heart and with your soul.
The entire journey of fulfilling your goal should get you excited. The means are just as important to enjoy as the ends, otherwise you risk falling out of love with your goal and wasting your time.
There may well be some hardship along the way, but if if love your goal enough that will be seen as part of the journey. If you have followed the steps we mentioned earlier about looking at your options, there will always be another route you can take if you are unsatisfied with the one you are on at the moment.
Plan and approach the journey in a fun way. Create a chart or drawing that symbolises your journey and end product. Make sure you incorporate a reward scheme into your plan. Remember, you are the boss, not anybody else.
Remember that a well planned goal recognises and prepares for setbacks. We all encounter them , they are unavoidable, and they actually help us to become stronger in the long run, as long as we are prepared to face them.
You need to be prepared for the fact that maybe not everyone else in your life will be as enthuse d to help you achieve this goal as you. Set your targets down in writing and make sure you stick to them regardless of any temptation.
Keep all your life goals as simple worded as possible, that way you are more likely to recall them when you need to.
